JOB SUMMARY: 

The Sales and Business Development Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining sales and business development activities in Regina. You will act as a conduit to customers, technical sales, business analytics, office support and generate quotations for new and existing business. Through teamwork achieve Nemco’s growth strategy by sales execution, understanding of the market, customer retention, fulfill customer orders and execution of sales quotations. You will provide exceptional customer service and product information. You will work with the customer to help create solutions to meet their needs and consult through the entire sales process. Must be energetic and eager to close sales to increase revenue and gross margins.

FUNCTIONS-RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Quickly develop rapport and build strong relationships.
  • Maintain gross sales margins at or above budget levels.
  • Develop & maintain a pipeline of sales prospects.
  • Proactively identify new business, market and product opportunities.
  • Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance, sales metrics & market intelligence in a  timely manner.
  • Review and visit the competition regularly, monitor advertising, promotions and company information.
  • Participate in weekly customer sales meetings, update sales funnel, forecasting and growth strategy.
  • Maintain accurate databases (SAGE, CRM, Sales funnel, etc.) of customer information.
  • Attend periodic sales training/meetings to update product knowledge, sales techniques and learn more about Nemco’s manufacturing capabilities.
  • Communicate brand identity and corporate position appropriately to customers.
  • Analyze the competition and competitive pricing to generate market reports, business cases and win all quotes and tenders.
  • Applies knowledge of policies, procedures, and standard best practices to deliver informational or technical materials (e.g., proposals, briefings, management reviews, newsletters, status reports, technical papers, brochures) to customers and partners. Participates with organizational leaders in the development and implementation of plans and objectives (e.g., long-range strategies, organizational goals, objectives and initiatives) to meet requirements.

COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS 

Technical skills:  

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word,

PowerPoint, and Excel),  STLE and CPSA accreditation preferred.

Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Strong problem identification and objection resolutions skills. 

Exceptional customer service orientation, analytical skills and business acumen. 

Eager to explore innovative ways to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories. 

Relational skills:

Ability to work independently or collaborate and coordinate as part of a team. 

 Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and listening). 

 Ability to develop, network, cultivate and nurture lasting relationships with customers. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:     Post-secondary education in a related discipline, or an acceptable combination of education and experience. 

Experience:   3 – 5 years industry related experience. Demonstrated business development and sales experience should be a minimum of 3 years. Experience within a lubricant and manufacturing industry preferred. 

Language:     Fluent in English, spoken and written
