TITLE:
Supervisor/Dispatcher


LOCATION:
London, Ontario


REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

 

The Supervisor/Dispacher reports directly to the Operation Director

 

JOB SUMMARY:
 

The Supervisor/Dispatcher will manage the fleet and be responsible of creating trucking routes that keep costs down but meet customer scheduling needs for Ontario. The successful candidate for this position needs to be able to adjust to last minute changes and work with drivers to schedule emergency delivery for new or established clients when necessary, oriented best customer experience. He will also supervises the drivers and have to plan a proactive truck maintenance. We are looking for a team member who will represents the Company in a professional manner, analyze the availability of components for shipment. The candidate must be comfortable in a paperless environment.

 

ACTIVITIES:
 

·       Supervise all Ontario Drivers

·       Develop delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day;

·       Collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers;

·       Solid multitasking skills and ability to prioritize calls according to urgency;

·       Act as a communication liaison through the two-way truck radio system and answer incoming phone calls from drivers on the road;

·       Arranges shipments by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating delivery requirements; placing and expediting orders;

·       Keeps customers or Catalys teams, informed by forwarding notice of item availability, shipment date and method, and current status; answering questions;

·       Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes;

·       Monitor any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely deliveries;

·       All other duties as assigned.

Technical skills:

·       Strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate area

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
 

Experience:      3 years experiences as dispatcher or other relevant position.

Education:       Diploma in related fields

Language:       Fluent in English spoken and written.
